Still a long wait!
It’s common knowledge that Shilpa Shetty is all set to marry her long time boyfriend Raj Kundra on the 22nd of November this year. But the inside news is that after their marriage, the couple will shift to a house opposite the Bachchans. But this is just for a short-term as Shipla keenly waits for her dream home to be ready by the end of February or beginning of March. Raj Kundra, who is UK-based, will be shifting permanently to Mumbai. Their dream home in Juhu is being done by Hrithik Roshan’s wife Sussanne Roshan.
After the marriage, the newly weds intend to go to Tirupathi and to Chennai to seek the blessings of Shilpa’s sipiritual guru Sri Amma. Then the couple will leave for their honeymoon to an undisclosed destination.
Big B to play Abhishek’s son
Amitabh Bachchan is to play Abhishek Bachchan’s son in the to-be released movie Paa. He released the promos of his upcoming movie Paa on his blog bigb.bigadda.com.
He says in his blog, “This then is AURO! The kid that suffers from progeria, a debilitating disease where the child ages rapidly beyond his age. The face that you see is the result of deep research. Kids affected by this problem lose all their hair, become bald and their veins begin to show prominently on their heads, which enlarge to a size beyond normal. Their teeth and eyes suffer also and hence the special teeth as dentals that were worn by me.”
The actor confesses that the look demanded “hours and hours of make up... 5 hours to put it all on, 2 hours to take it off and 6 hours to work - at times more if we are behind schedule. Tough ! But then whoever said film making was a luxury.”
Abhishek Bachchan turns producer with this movie which is to be released on the 4th of December.

The festival will be held from 10th to 20th November in Cairo and will be attended, besides others, by Salma Hayek, Samuel L. Jackson, Lucy Liu and Tom Berenger, who is also a member on the international jury.
No real smoking this!
Smoking is something Deepika Padukone likes to stay away from. But when the role demands it, what options are you left with? In the movie Karthik calling Karthik, she plays a modern girl who smokes a lot. However, Deepika feared that smoking for the role may make her addicted to cigarettes. That’s when the producer of the movie Ritesh Sadhwani came to her rescue.
Ritesh ordered organic cigarettes for Deepika. These cigarettes are nicotine-free thus permitting our latest Bollywood sensation to take things easy. Sources reveal that Deepika hates smoking and was quite scared at the thought of smoking for the role.
Ritesh was quoted as saying that “We didn’t want to be responsible for inculcating a bad habit and that’s why these organic cigarettes were needed.” So finally we can say again that all’s well that ends well.
Mrs Nene as Mrs G?
Bollywood can’t ever have enough pf our dear own Madhuri Dixit aka Mrs Nene. Her comeback movie Aaja Nach Le may not have been a Box Office miracle, but still nobody can doubt Madhuri’s acting skills. That is why, filmmaker Krishan Shah has zeroed in on Madhuri to play Mrs Indira Gandhi for his creation Mother: The Indira Gandhi story.
After 20 years of research on Mrs Gandhi, Shah has put together his script and is about to begin shooting from the beginning of the year 2010. Actor Abhay Deol is said to be playing the role of Rajiv Gandhi.
The story of Mrs Gandhi’s life will be told in two parts. The first part will cover the the time period fromher birth to 1971 when India won the war against Pakistan. The second part is going to be about her political career, the rise of her son Sanjay Gandhi and her assassination. Actors like Nana Patekar and Dharmendra may be also be involved in the project.
Shahid is bike happy!
The love between men and machines is an age old story. It was revived by John Abraham for Bollywood, when the hunk declared his immense love for these two-wheeled wonders. Now, it is Shahid Kapoor, who is very much a man in love -- with his machine of course! What were you thinking?
Shahid is in the US shooting for a Yash Raj movie and has been given a bike while he is shooting. The actor is so fond of the bike that he rides it to the sets instead of fancying an entry in an expensive car! Shahid has even been spotted cleaning the bike. When the shooting gets over and it’s time to say pack up, Shahid roars the engine of his bike and sets off to explore the areas nearby.
Move over Johnny boy, Mr Kapoor is riding a bike too!
Bollywood’s Barbie Doll
The makers of Barbie doll celebrated their 50th birthday by launching a Katrina Kaif look alike Barbie doll. Reports suggest that Katrina Kaif also walked the ramp as the showstopper for the All Doll’d Up special show dedicated to Barbie at the Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai earlier this year. She sported a small pink dress designed by well-known designer Neeta Lulla's daughter Nishka. The “Katrina Barbie” will be wearing the same design.
“I’ve been a part of the entire process of doll making and it’s been quite fascinating. Since, I’ve been travelling out of Mumbai for the promotions of my movies; unfortunately I’ve not been able to see it yet. I’m really looking forward to see the doll as soon as I get back,” Katrina Kaif reportedly said.
Unfortunately, the Katrina Barbi is a commemorative product and is not for sale!
