Deepak & Jo: Bound in Love
Harbinger of Joy to parent (Prem and Shobha Gogia)
For Deepak & Jo Gogia, life has only just started to get back to normal
following their wedding last August.
After meeting at a charity fashion show through mutual friends in 2004 it quickly
became clear to them that they had met somebody special. Deepak proposed to
Jo on Brighton beach 6 months later. A month after becoming engaged, Jo moved
to Harrow to live with Deepak and his parents to begin the exciting task of
planning their wedding and beginning their lives together.

and Jo were lucky enough to be able to have an Indian ceremony which took place
on the 13th August at the Millennium Mayfair with Ravi Sharma as the Pundit.
Jo said “Ravi
was fantastic because he was able to explain the vows clearly and made the
ceremony accessible to every guest.” Deepak
and Jo wanted to make sure that their guests had a day to remember and were
treated to food by Laguna and entertainment from Tony Patti. Contemporary Indians
dancers and a Dhol player added to the entertainment and atmosphere.
week later, a civil ceremony was held at Moreton Hall in Warwickshire. Deepak
and Jo wanted to make the most of the venue’s great gardens and had an
Indian inspired marquee in the grounds. Deepak said “The first time we
saw the venue we knew we would be able to have the dream wedding we wished for
and we weren’t disappointed – the venue and staff were fantastic
on the day – luckily, so was the weather. A lot of the day was photographed
by Mark, Jo’s brother who captured the essence of another perfect day.
and Jo jetted off to Greece for a week after the ‘weddings’ and
completed their wedding adventure with a trip to New York in January 2007.
