Kala Jyoti members invited their friends at the Laguna banqueting hall to celebrate the occasion. Music was provided by Narayan and Saishri . The two young dancers, Zeena and Roshni, gave two beautiful dances. The ‘Flash Angels’ grop of dancers, all British, gave three items based on Bollywood songs. The dances were highly appreciated by the audience. The programme was conducted by the general secretary Uma Wadhwani. The president Mrs. Pushpa Bhargave in her address gave a brief introduction of the activities of the Kala Jyoti; and pleaded to the audience “to support and encourage the society’s activities to enable us to promote Indian art and culture among Indians living in Britain. That is the only way we all would remain in touch with our art and culture.” The evening ended with members and their guests enjoying on the dancing floor to the tune of Bollywood songs till late in the evening.
