Saturday 6th September. It was a wet and windy evening but that didn’t stop PharmaClinix’s guests getting dressed to the nines for the first ever Pharmaclinix Awards, hosted by founder and CEO Shashi Gossain. The grand event was held at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Central London - the perfect venue for a night of celebration, fun and fashion, captured by TV sponsor B4U and in association with media sponsor Asian Woman Magazine.

The evening kicked off at 6:30pm with delicious canapés and drinks in Asian Woman and B4U branded suite. Guests mixed and mingled and complimented one another on their purple and white outfits – the dress code for the night!

At 8pm the doors to the main hall were opened and guests were ushered to their seats where they found complimentary PharmaClinix goodies bag and a host of other goodies courtesy of Asian Woman and other sponsors including B4U and Caramel Models. Shashi Gossain graciously welcomed her guests and thanked all those who had supported her and made PharmaClinix the success it is today.

The host for the night was the delectable model Farzan Athari who has appeared in many of the PharmaClinix adverts and was especially flown in from Iran to compere the show. Other highlights included spectacular Brazilian dancing, a class dance act performed by Shashi’s talented daughters, Vanita & Sarita, who both feature in many of the PharmaClinix commercials. A delightful meal was provided by Laguna Banqueting.

The PharmaClinix Awards was launched to recognise the valuable contribution that pharmacies, retailers, distributors and beauticians make in promoting a brand that benefits Asian women the world over. And the event did just that. Awards were given in a number of categories throughout the night by Shashi Gossain and honorary guests Baroness Verma, Lord and Lady Sheikh, Keith Vaz, MP, Rami Rainger MBE, amongst others.

Mr.Apurva Mehta, Director of Muscat Pharmacy & Stores, had flown in especially from Oman for the event. This leading chain of Pharmacies is responsible for distributing the PharmaClinix range throughout the Middle East.

Mona Murarka,from Mumbai, who is introducing the range in India, was also present.

Then it was down to the serious business of finding the next face of Pharmaclinix. Fifteen girls were selected from hundreds to compete in the beauty pageant on the night. Dressed in saris by Indian designer Neera Bhatnagar of Taaryan the girls put on a fabulous show. The top five were chosen by audience vote while the top three girls were then selected by the judges, Hajra from Caramel Models, Brianna Ragel Editor of Asian Woman magazine, Shashi Gossain,CEO of PharmaClinix, Bala Iyer, head of B4U and Naseeba ,CEO of Oops Productions.

Congratulations to all the winners on the night especially Ritu Babbar, 2nd runner up, Rati Kachwaha,1st runner up and the winner of the PharmaClinix Next Model Beauty Jueta Kurar.
