Besides celebrating the success of The Bucks Punjabi Society, the function was a thank you message to all the executives, the patrons and the friends who have shared the success of the society.

The evening was graced by Rt Hon Dominic Grieve, Lord and Lady Sheikh & Baroness Verma who are also patrons of the Bucks Punjabi Society.

In his speech, Rt Honourable Dominic Grieve complemented the hard work and efforts put in by Mr Riat and his team in raising over £25000 for charities in the Buckinghamshire area and wished them all the success in the future.

Entertainment was provided by Caliber roadshow and live entertainment by the evergreen Didar Singh Pardesi and Channi Singh.

The function was also attended by Radio and TV personalities and also advisers to the society.

It was indeed a great honour for Mr Paul Riat to be appointed Patron of the voice of Kenya union(UK) at a function held at the Haveli Banqueting Suites on 30th Nov 08.

The executive team of the V.O.K. Union headed by Mr Dilbagh Chana, Mr Pritam Chaggar and Mr Chaman Lal Chaman were very closely attached through the poetry circuit with Paul’s Late father Mr Darshan Singh “Dars” who was a renowned Punajbi Poet in East Africa of his generation.

All in all, it was an extremely successful funfilled evening full of entertainment where guests danced the night away through to the early hours.
